Come Witness the Magic of Ramadan with Arabian Center’s Tree of Life

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the award-winning Tree of Life, again comes alive at Arabian Center, Dubai’s favorite community-mall in Al Mizhar, Mirdif.  The Tree of Life is a community initiative that continues to embellish many lives with the light of hope and giving.Ramadan is a time of thinking of others, providing kindliness and assistance for the less-fortunate; and those visiting the Center during the Holy Month are provided the opportunity to immerse themselves in the true spirit of Ramadan; one of bestowing charity humbly and, in their own small way, by lighting up the lives of those in need.

The concept “Tree of Life” was initiated by the Shopping Malls Division of Lals Group in the year 2012 at Lamcy Plaza. For the past two years, the Tree is standing tall at Arabian Center where visitors to the mall can donate clothes, accessories and contribute financially toward the under-privileged.  For every donation made, people can light a lantern and hang it on the Tree of Life.  Each lamp hung symbolizes the change done to a life. The more the lamps, the more lives changed. The Tree of Life touches many lives and affects them in a positive way.

Like last year, Arabian Center customers helped affect few hundred lives through their noble contributions. These were shared with orphans in and outside UAE. To continue and spread the goodwill message out further, the Center actively encourages its community to spread the awareness and take that small effort of contribution for the destitute. Our hearts need to change, then only will the change happen - Tree of Life at Arabian Center.

Tim Jones, COO of Arabian Center, states, “We as a Group are committed to helping those in need, and the Tree of Life has become a great campaign that encourages us to join as a community and make a genuine change.  Ramadan being the month of giving, we request people to light up lamps on the Tree of Life and support us in our endeavor for improving the lives of underprivileged families and children. There are many people all over the world who need a helping hand and it is our hope to receive the support of our community and other residents to benefit the less-fortunate.

All proceeds from the campaign are speedily shared with the Red Crescent society, which distributes the donations and funds to their various causes.
